Being located on a picturesque ridge there are plenty of activities you can do and have long lasting memories of them.

Taradevi : climb, pause & click

Taradevi temple is situated on top of the Taradevi mountain at a height of 6967 feet which is visible from Sunrise Villa. You can trek for around 2 kilometers to reach the hill top. there ate plenty of points in between where you can sit and rest and fell to cool wind flowing across. This forest of oak and rhododendron is an ideal place for picnic 

Alternately you can drive up the Tara Devi temple ( 6 Kms) on the newly built road.

The temple offers panoramic views of Shimla town and surrounding hills. 360 degree views from the top are very rewarding for the camera lens. The temple has beautiful surroundings and langar is held every Sunday.

Leisurely forest walks

You can walk around the forests in Shoghi on the lonely road going towards the railway station or the meandering  foot paths created by the forest department or you can create you own. The area is in general level and people from all age groups can easily walk around. You can sit around at a lonely place and  take up bird watching, turn off your mobile and listen to the sounds of the forest or you can revive your hobbies like water painting, book reading, etc...

Shimla

You can drive to Shimla (13Kms) which takes about 20 minutes.

You can visit many tourist spots around Shimla like Kufri , Fagu, Chail, etc..

Snow fall in winter

Sunrise Villa has an altogether different look in the winters. The whole area gets covered with a white blanket of snow. You can be lucky enough the enjoy the snowfall and  enjoy playing in the snow. The roads up to Shoghi do not get blocked during snowfall.

Minchy's fruit products 

As you drive through Shoghi and  turn off to Anandpur road on the right to head for Sunrise Villa you will find Minchy's fruit products stand on the left side of the highway. You can  have fresh fruit products like juices, pickles, squashes etc. These are locally manufactured at Shoghi by Minchy's. Shimla fruit products are ideal gifts also
